All data collected by Curio is stored locally on your device using IndexedDB, a browser-based database. This means:

- No cloud servers are involved
- No external databases store your information
- The Extension works completely offline
Data Retention
Your saved content remains on your device until you:
- Manually delete it through the Extension interface
- Uninstall the Extension (which removes all stored data)
- Clear your browser's IndexedDB storage

- ❌ No data is sent to external servers
- ❌ No data is shared with third parties
- ❌ No data is sold or monetized
- ❌ No analytics or tracking services are used

Permissions Explained
Curio requests the following permissions, all of which are necessary for core functionality:
contextMenus
Creates right-click menu options ("Save to Curio" and "Save this page") to enable quick content capture.

Accesses the active tab's content only when you explicitly trigger a save action (via context menu or keyboard shortcut).

- Load external JavaScript files
- Use dynamic imports from external sources
